Applications

Required documents for the application include:

• Diploma or Certificate, including a transcript of grades;
• Curriculum vitae;
• Letter of Motivation (Letter of Intent) explaining the motivation to enrol in the Doctoral Program in Computer Science;
• Two letters of recommendation;
• English language certificate (IELTS or TOEFL). Can be replaced with a signed declaration stating that the certificate will be obtained within one year after enrolment.

At the time of enrolment in the Doctoral Program, candidates must meet one of the following two criteria:

Hold a master's degree, or a bachelors degree with no less than 240 credit units, or equivalent, obtained in a national or foreign institution in Computer Science, or recognised as appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme, completed with a final grade of no less than C (ECTS) or 14 (Portuguese Grading System);

Hold a relevant academic, scientific or professional curriculum, recognised by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme as attesting the capacity to succeed in the Doctoral Program.

Applications to the Doctoral Program in Computer Science should be submitted here. 

Candidates will be ranked based on the submitted documentation by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme. Eligible candidates may be called for an interview.
