At the time of enrolment in the Doctoral Program, candidates must meet one of the following two criteria:
Hold a master's degree, or a bachelors degree with no less than 240 credit units, or equivalent, obtained in a national or foreign institution in Computer Science, or recognised as appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme, completed with a final grade of no less than C (ECTS) or 14 (Portuguese Grading System);
Hold a relevant academic, scientific or professional curriculum, recognised by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme as attesting the capacity to succeed in the Doctoral Program.

Candidates will be ranked based on the submitted documentation by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme. Eligible candidates may be called for an interview.
