CITI develops basic and applied research in Computer Science and Engineering and Informatics. The research agenda of CITI is currently focused on the development of new Principles and Engineering for Networked Software Services and Media, combining the activities and expertise of three thematic research groups:

CENTRIA develops basic and applied research in artificial intelligence and intelligent information systems. CENTRIA is the first national research unit in Artificial Intelligence. The activities of the Centre are organised in two main areas::
