Second workshop of the Doctoral Program in Computer Science

The second workshop of the Doctoral Program in Computer Science  took place on December 16 at FCT NOVA. The workshop started with a keynote talk  by Zach Mainen, principal investigator at the Champalimaud Foundation “Center for the Unknown”. In his talk "Peeling open the mind: from chemicals to computations and beyond", Zach Mainen, explained his view of the human brain as computer or information processing machine.

The workshop program included talks by recent PhD program alumni, PhD students, and flash talks by ongoing students. The main objective of this workshop series is to share and discuss the ongoing research work of students from the Doctoral Program in Computer Science, with the FCT NOVA community.  In addition to students and teachers from the Program, there were also Master students and other FCT NOVA members in the audience.
